If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Coast Ranges. The vicinity where Buck Lake is, is dominated by the Siskiyou Mountains, and camping at Twin Pines Cafe and RV is always a great experience. Buck Lake gets a large amount of water; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Hurdygurdy       Creek in a kayak, and do pay a visit to Oregon Caves National Monument if you're here at Buck Lake. Buck Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. This location, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. A gorgeous lake like Prescott Lake close to Buck Lake is a nice site to pop by, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Summit Valley Trail. The Clear Creek National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best; you'll meet a lot of folks                  from Crescent City North here. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Buck Lake. Take a hike on the Elk Camp Ridge Trail, and nearby you find Siskiyou Pass which is a pleasant location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Buck Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Bend RV and Mobile Park is a pleasant local campground, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Island Lake. At Buck Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows at Buck Lake all through the winter ordinarily fall into the 30's.
