    Do stop by Buck Lake while you're in this part of California. Buck Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Coast Ranges. A nice place to camp here at Buck Lake is Twin Pines Cafe and RV, and the panoramas at Oregon Caves National Monument will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. Buck Lake is in a tremendous location in the shadow of the Siskiyou Mountains, and  
   you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail.
Buck Lake ordinarily gets a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Siskiyou Pass is always fun. That right there is a lot of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. Buck Lake is not far at all from Crescent City
 
               North; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hurdygurdy Creek.
Buck Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Bend RV and Mobile Park is a glorious local campground; do take a hike on the Summit Valley Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Buck Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Buck Lake. Trace Creek is a fine whitewater spot in the vicinity of Buck Lake; you can catch a sight of Bear Mountain from Buck Lake.
Just can't get enough of Buck Lake. Buck Lake is right by the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail, and while you're here at Buck Lake it's a delightful idea to go to Devils Punchbowl.
