Beautiful Buck Lake has much to offer visitors. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Silver Creek - South Fork, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Cliff Lake. Through the warm months here at Buck Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to

| | the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Buck Lake are in the 10's. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Pepper Tree Inn; if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Calawee Cove Beach.

The slopes of Alpine Meadows are so inviting nobody can resist, and there are some great whitewater spots on American River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. If you need
a place to stay Resort At Squaw Creek is a fine choice, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Buck Lake that you need to camp here for a while,
General Creek Campground is a good site for that, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Lester Beach.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Buck Lake. There's delightful hiking along
the General Creek Trail, and on a pretty day you acquire a brilliant view of Ellis Peak from Buck Lake. Buck Lake is right by the Big Spring Trail, and if you came to camp Meeks Bay Resort & Marina is a nice spot to do that.
