The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. There's tremendous hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Mono Creek offers some perfect whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Buck Lake is a brilliant place to camp, Mosquito Flat Campground is a brilliant place; a perfect close by hotel is Mammoth Lakes Travelodge. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central       Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Summertime highs at Buck Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Buck Lake. So many amusing things in close proximity to Buck Lake, truly amazing. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - South Fork, and Dorothy Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop                  by. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Camping at Buck Lake is splendid fun, Lake Inlet Campground is a splendid local campground, and Broken Finger Peak is a peak you can see from Buck Lake. Buck Lake is commonly a quite dried up site; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is June.
