This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Pleasant Boat-In Campground, and delightful hiking is available along the Loon Lake Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here
at Buck Island Lake; most of the snow falls during January, and July on the other hand is the driest. What would winter be without some skiing at Homewood, and get soaked paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork.
This lake is so
wonderful. Rubicon Springs is a good local attraction; if you need a spot to stay Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley is a nice choice.
