Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations near Brave Lake that are delightful to go to; hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is wonderful fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a good site to get some rest; going for a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty       of this neighborhood. Summertime highs at Brave Lake usually tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Brave Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene spots, why not stop by Chief Lake close to Brave Lake,                  and if you came for an overnight stay Upper Vermillion Campground is a great spot to camp. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - South Fork; Cold Water Campground is a pleasant campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn, and you can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Mammoth Mountain. Really great skiing awaits you at June Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mono Creek. It is very waterless here at Brave Lake generally; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and June on the other hand is the driest.
