During the winter highs are usually in the 40's while Brave Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Brave Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cold Water Campground, and the Sherwin Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best. Since you might be in a lake       visiting mood you can always check out nearby Lake of the Lone Indian; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mono Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail; nearby you come across Goodale Pass which is a splendid spot to take a look at. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby June Mountain.                  This lake is so wonderful. San Joaquin River - South Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Devils Postpile National Monument is a wonderful local destination. Brave Lake is commonly a rather waterless spot; January is the month that gets the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.
