High temperatures at Box Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Box Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. There's whitewater on Pit River for all you adrenaline people; you must beyond doubt dedicate some time to Thousand Lakes Valley while you're here at Box Lake. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one

There's so much to do here at Box Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cypress Campground is a splendid place for that; do explore Barrett Lake, it's a picturesque lake. and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Bunchgrass Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. All the outdoors fun stuff near Box Lake will keep you coming back over and over.
There is a magnificent hiking trail near Box Lake called the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and one of the major features of the surroundings of Box Lake is Eiler Butte. A lovely lake like Lake Eiler in close proximity to Box Lake
is a perfect spot to check out, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is one of the destinations that are great to have a look at close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Southern Cascade Range
has to offer. Cornaz Spring is always fun to check out, and the Chaos Crags Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Box Lake is a relatively wet place mostly with a great deal of precipitation; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

A full running restaurant that is open year round from 9am to 7pm. There is a general store. We are located 21 miles from Burney. We have sites located around the lake, pull thrus, back-ins. There are 50 and 30amp sites. Our sites are long so we can accomidate large RV's. There are 3 cabins available at Rancheria RV Park. They have a microwave, television, bathroom with shower, smoke free for your comfort. Call for reservations. We are located on Hwy 89 6 miles west of Old Station and 17 miles east of the intersection of 299 and 89.
