What would a spot like Bowman Lake be without out of the ordinary nearby features like Windy Point Cliffs, and dry warm beds await you at Chalet View Lodge. Bowman Lake gets a typical amount of rain; most of the rain falls through January, and July is the month with the least moisture. So many fun things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. This is a       glorious region for folks who like lakes. Bowman Lake is a lake close by, and what would winter be without some skiing at Royal Gorge. This lake is so wonderful. Toms Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and everybody loves Loney Meadow. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby McMurray Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bowman Lake; Crooked Lakes Trail is a brilliant local trail.                  If only every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. Bowman Mountain can be made out from Bowman Lake, and after a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to run into some nice folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and get wet paddling on Yuba River - North Fork. Paddling on Fordyce Creek is so much fun; a great location close by is Poison Canyon. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Bowman Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Bowman Lake are in the 20's. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Bowman Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Soda Springs while you're here, and great hiking is available along the Bowman Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Weaver Dam; if you came for an overnight stay Weaver lake Campground is a glorious place to camp. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at McMurray Campground since you're here at Bowman Lake, and the Round Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
