If you need a spot to stay Best Western Humboldt House Inn is a great choice. The Ben Arthur Trail is a great hiking trail close to Bollman Lake, and a great place to camp here at Bollman Lake is Fir Cove Campground. Bollman Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. So many amusing things right next       door to Bollman Lake, truly mind-blowing. At Bollman Lake you can make out Kettenpom Peak, and glide down the rapids of Eel River - North Fork in a kayak. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Bollman Lake throughout the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Bollman Lake. French Lake is a nearby lake                  that you could explore, and close by you discover the Ruth Hayfork Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Coast Ranges. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Bollman Lake called the Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail, and camping at Bailey Canyon Campground is always a glorious experience. This lake is so wonderful.
