Blue Lakes gets lots of water; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. There's magnificent hiking along the Bucknell Trail; a great location to camp here at Blue Lakes is Lakeview Haven       Rv Park. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Lower Blue Lake near Blue Lakes, it's a striking lake, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Russian River - East Fork. Blue Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. Through the warm months, highs commonly are in the 90's at Blue Lakes. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Blue Lakes.                  This lake is so wonderful. A short spree to Black Oak Springs is always worthwhile, and don't leave Blue Lakes without first going for a hike along the Middle Creek Flat Trail. While you're here at Blue Lakes, you could also pop by wonderful Hidden Lake; a great spot for whitewater paddling is Eel River. You absolutely have to love the Coast Ranges. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Upper Lake is a splendid site to spend a night or two; there are splendid sites to discover along the Elk Knob Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Blue Lakes.
