Alder Creek is a pleasant local stream. Soar down the rapids of Fordyce Creek in a kayak, and camping at Lake Spaulding Campground is always a delightful experience. Summer at Blue Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the       20's overnight here at Blue Lake. All the outdoors amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back time and again. The peak of Zion Hill can be spotted from Blue Lake, and paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun. Blue Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Near Blue Lake you hit upon Gonelson Canyon which is a wonderful place to go to; you'll meet a lot of folks from Truckee-Grass                  Valley here. Yeah, come here to Blue Lake for a delightful time. There are splendid places to discover along the Crooked Lakes Trail; Rucker Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. A trip to Black Oak Spring will fill your spirit with perfect feelings, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Spaulding Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Creek Inn is a good spot to get some rest, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Royal Gorge since you're here. Blue Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; through January this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. While you're here at Blue Lake, you could also have a look at pretty Fuller Lake; going for a hike on the Round Lake Trail is always a great adventure. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada.
