    Why not stop by Blue Lake if you're passing through these parts. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you came for an overnight stay Saddlebag Campground is a brilliant place to camp; you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the John Muir Trail - section 2. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Ruby Inn is a good choice, and the skiing at June Mountain is glorious.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. That right there is
 
   loads of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Camping at Blue Lake is perfect fun, Sawmill Campground is a perfect local campground, and since you're here, you could stop at South Fork Mill Creek. At Blue Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Blue Lake.
 
               Not much precipitation falls here at Blue Lake; January is when you get the most snow here, and October is when it's the driest. Gilcrest Peak is scenic and can be distinguished from Blue Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Dore Pass is a good spot to stop by in close proximity to Blue Lake, and hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is good fun.
Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. Tenaya Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; Blue Lake is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are pleasant; Crystal Lake is a lake that's close to Blue Lake, and some exciting geology is available here, Dore Cliff is right here.
