At Blue Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Blue Lake throughout the winter typically sink into the 20's. From a rainfall point of view Blue Lake is a rather common site; most of the rain falls through January; June is the month with the least moisture. | | the Central Sierra Nevada. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenaya Creek, and Clover Meadow Campground is a great local campground. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Mount Ansel Adams is clearly visible from Blue Lake; hey, Gotta ski right? June Mountain is a fine place to do that. Nevada. San Joaquin River - Middle Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Blue Lake, and a good nearby hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Lake; John Muir Trail - section 1 is a tremendous
local trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Rockbound Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Granite Creek Campground is a good place to camp, and don't leave Blue Lake without first
going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Heidelberg Inn is a glorious choice. Lakes? Sure, Harriet Lake is around here. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail.
