Be careful coming to Blue Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Get drenched paddling on Mad River; you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Coast Ranges. Glide down the rapids of Redwood Creek in a kayak, and Comfort Inn Arcata is a great site to get some rest. There's so much       to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mad River Rapids RV Park is a fine spot for that, and a perfect location is Butler Valley. Summer at Blue Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Blue Lake temperatures dip to the 40's. Blue Lake gets a normal amount of rain; all through the month of November                  you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Grouse Creek Tractor Way is always a tremendous adventure. Lakes? Sure, Jarnigan Pond is close at hand. That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. Black Creek is a stream that you may run into while here, and not far from Blue Lake you'll stumble on City of Eureka Reservoir which is a striking lake. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Eureka Koa Kampground is a magnificent local campground, and there are glorious sites to discover along the Grouse Creek Tractor Trail.
