Why not stop by Blue Lake if you're passing through these parts. Blue Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Butler Valley is a magnificent site to spend some time. That right there is loads of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. Camping at Eureka Koa Kampground is always a delightful experience, and a great place like Lost

| | Meadow here at Blue Lake is too delightful to miss. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Mad River close to Blue Lake, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna for sure. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever want to go home again. Black Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Grouse Creek Tractor Trail. | |

love Blue Lake. Hiking along the Grouse Creek Tractor Way is perfect fun, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Arcata. The amount of rainfall that falls at Blue Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the
rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. At Blue Lake all through the summer highs are in the 60's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 50's,
and night lows at Blue Lake during the winter commonly descend into the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Mad River Rapids RV Park is a wonderful place to do that.
