California has many beautiful lakes and Blue Jay Lakes is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Mills Creek, and if you would like a little side spree, try First Recess. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Blue Jay Lakes, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; night lows during the winter for Blue Jay Lakes tend to be in the 20's.

| | Man, is there plenty of cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Mammoth Creek Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Mammoth Rock Trail. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Blue Jay Lakes, absolutely remarkable. You're probably interested in lakes, Bighorn Lake is one of those nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Mono Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. | |

Really nice skiing awaits you at June Mountain. Mount Izaak Walton is pretty and can be made out from Blue Jay Lakes; on a fine day you can take a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. So many cool things to do here in the Central
Sierra Nevada, too tremendous to be true. There's so much to do here at Blue Jay Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Upper McGee Creek Campground is a tremendous spot for that; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but
if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. A trip to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile; you can never get enough of the fine skiing
at Mammoth Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Blue Jay Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Upper Vermillion Campground, and Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a splendid place to get
some rest. Not much rainfall falls here at Blue Jay Lakes; throughout January this area sees the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
