If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Blue Hole. You can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork close to Blue Hole, and a magnificent place to visit close by is Bellfout Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Shriner Lake; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Bear Valley. So many enjoyable things to do at Blue Hole, so little time. | | perfect to check out Salt Springs. Blue Hole regularly gets much rain; January is the wettest month with most snow; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Having a magnificent time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is simple. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Kirkwood, and hiking along the Emigrant Trail is splendid fun. | |

But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Salt Springs Campground while you're here at Blue Hole, and a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Stanislaus River - North Fork. At Blue Hole through
the summer months highs are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Blue Hole through the wintertime usually dip into the 10's. Blue Hole is
one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You could also have a look at Mosquito Lake if you're here at Blue Hole; it's nearby, and while you're here, you could visit Jelmini Creek.
