If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Bloomer Lake. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork; a fine site like Barn Meadow here at Bloomer Lake is too great to miss. If you came for an overnight stay Brightman Flat Campground is a tremendous place to camp; while you're here you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable

| | stuff, what a great world it would be. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cherry Creek - West Fork, and the slopes of Bear Valley are so inviting noone can resist.

Sierra Nevada for a fine time. If you're going to Bloomer Lake from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, you won't be the only one, and the peak of Cooper Peak can be distinguished from Bloomer Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is
available at Dardanelles Campground, and going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Dodge
Ridge is a great local ski area. Through the long summer days highs here at Bloomer Lake reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Bloomer Lake.
