Blair Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. You must undeniably dedicate some time to Walls Flat while you're here at Blair Lake; do stop by Diggins Pond, it's a striking lake. For the duration of the days of summer at Blair Lake highs are regularly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Blair Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter
nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
You truly ought to love Blair Lake. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - Middle Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Chute Hill Campground is a wonderful place to camp. The Humbug Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a place to stay Nevada City Inn is a brilliant choice. You imagine that's enough?

               Just getting warmed up.
All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back persistently. Blair Lake is right by the Lafayette Ridge Trail, and a visit to Blair Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Coleman Spring. Camping is available at Shonter Hill Campground; a great site for whitewater paddling is Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Buck Mountain is easily observed from Blair Lake; Scotts Flat Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore.
The high level of precipitation makes Blair Lake a quite wet site; during the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is regularly the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; hiking along the South Yuba Trail is perfect fun. If you're dropping by Blair Lake from Truckee-Grass Valley, you won't be the only one, and Eastern Canyon is another good place to go to nearby.

East Meadows Campground - Tahoe National Forest
10 miles away
East Meadows has been a favorite since my first trip. The area is full of natural attractions. A favorite is to go sit in the small waterfalls just a short hike from the campsite. Beaware that because of the elevation, the campground does not open Memorial Day like most (although they will let you make reservations during that weekend), it's usually still covered in snow until the middle of June. However, once you get there you will see what a couple extra weeks of snow will bring in beauty to the surroundings....

NID has never allowed swimming in Fuller Lake....Sorry - there is only a Day Use area at Fuller Lake. There hasn't been camping on that lake for nearly 11 years. And there is limited fire material for making BBQ fires. better to go further up Bowman Road....I drove up there today (8/10/06), and there is only a day use only area....
