Blackwelder Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Far West Lake is a great local campground, and Blackwelder Dam is       a pretty place. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Blackwelder Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sycamore Ranch is a magnificent place for that; if you're dropping by from Yuba City-Marysville, you won't be the only one. Blackwelder Lake is a location that is quite dried up mostly; most of the rain falls through January; the driest of the months is July. Blackwelder Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise.                  Marysville/Yuba City Super 8 Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Frisky Lake, and Wellman Creek is near Blackwelder Lake and is always a diversion to stop at.
