The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. The smiling folks of Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna like to hang out nearby; Mill Creek Lakes is a great lake nearby. Having a magnificent time in the Coast Ranges is easy. Klamath River is a good whitewater spot close to Blacks Lake. Blacks Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain,       and July on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the summer months at Blacks Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Blacks Lake fall into the 30's. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Blacks Lake. There are other spots here than Blacks Lake, for example Lost Lake; do set                  aside some time for Red Cap Hole while you're here at Blacks Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. The Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail is a magnificent hiking trail near Blacks Lake, and if the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a magnificent panorama of North Trinity Mountain from Blacks Lake. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Blacks Lake called the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Blacks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pearch Creek Campground is a great site for that.
