These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Don’t forget to explore Red Cap Hole since you're here at Blacks Lake, and North Trinity Mountain can be seen from Blacks Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Salmon Summit Recreation Trail is a tremendous hiking trail right next door to Blacks Lake; camping at Blacks Lake is tremendous fun, Shivshaneen Co is a tremendous local campground.       High temperatures at Blacks Lake through the summer are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; night lows at Blacks Lake throughout the winter generally descend into the 30's. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Blacks Lake. If you're dropping by Blacks Lake from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, you won't be the only one, and get drenched paddling on Klamath River. Blacks Lake is a quite                  wet place usually with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December; July is when it's the driest. Blacks Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. You simply have to love the Coast Ranges. Pearch Creek Campground is a glorious campground here, and Blacks Lake is not the only spot nearby, Mill Creek Lakes is a nearby lake.
