If you are traveling by, why not stop by Blackie Lake. From a rainfall point of view Blackie Lake is a relatively common site; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a splendid choice. There's so much to do here at Blackie Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Chiquito Campground is a great place

| | for that. Blackie Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Wawona Hotel. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. The Clouds Rest Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in the vicinity of Blackie Lake; close by Fernandez Pass is a splendid location to go. If you come at the right time of year, Merced River - South Fork offers some great whitewater, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Mono Meadow Trail. | |

So many exciting things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too splendid to be true. Badger Pass is a pleasant local ski area, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Alpine Lake is one of those close by. Man, is there plenty of
exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Blackie Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bowler Group Campground is a fine local campground, and there's some flowing water nearby, Fernandez Creek is a stream you
can stop at while here. This lake is so wonderful. At Blackie Lake you can see Gale Peak, and Yosemite National Park is a very fine location to visit. Near Blackie Lake you come across the John Muir Trail - section 1 which is
a glorious hiking trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. Through the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Blackie Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Blackie Lake tend to be in the 20's.
