In California there are many beautiful lakes, Black Rock Lake is one of them. From a precipitation point of view Black Rock Lake is a reasonably common location; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest of the months is July. Be careful coming to Black Rock Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. North Fork Beegum Campground is a glorious local campground, and Pettijohn Basin is a great place here at Black Rock Lake. This lake is

| | so wonderful. Go for a hike on the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a delightful national park.
For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Black Rock Lake get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. than one day, Beegum Gorge Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Pettijohn Trail is always a great adventure. A good panorama of striking Black Rock Mountain is available from Black Rock Lake;
if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hayfork Creek.
Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do in the Klamath Mountains. Near Black Rock Lake you stumble on the Humboldt Trail
which is a nice hiking trail, and Beegum Creek is a nice whitewater spot close by. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So many fun things to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too great to be true.
