A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Black Rock Lake; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is mostly the driest month. There's whitewater on Hayfork Creek for all you adrenaline people, and don't miss out on a visit to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area since you're here. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. Black Rock Lake is       a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Beegum Gorge Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and you'll find a pretty lake called North Yolla Bolly Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Pettijohn Basin invigorates the spirit, and fine hiking is available along the Humboldt Trail. During the summer months at Black Rock Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the                  40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Black Rock Lake tend to be in the 30's. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do near Black Rock Lake. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Beegum Creek, and the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. So much cool stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too perfect to be true. Do stop by Minnie Lake close to Black Rock Lake, it's a stunning lake, and North Fork Beegum Campground is a great local campground. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Black Rock Mountain is clearly visible from Black Rock Lake; there's good hiking along the Pettijohn Trail.
