California has many beautiful lakes and Black Rock Lake is one of them. Having a splendid time at Black Rock Lake is uncomplicated. There's so much to do here at Black Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Plasse's Resort is a glorious location for that, and you can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork. | | site to spend a night or two, and great hiking is available along the Charity Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bear Valley Lodge, and a pleasant visit to Ladeux Meadow is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Sierra Nevada. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Kirkwood, and there are magnificent sites to explore along the Emigrant Trail. Black Rock Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Ferguson
Point Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you've had enough of Black Rock Lake, Beebe Lake is close by.
Head up to Bear Valley and strap some skis to your feet; you can go for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail. This
lake is so wonderful. A fine site for whitewater paddling right next door to Black Rock Lake is American River - South Fork, and a short tour to Horse Thief Spring is always worthwhile.
Summer brings highs in the 70's to Black
Rock Lake with night lows in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Black Rock Lake are in the 10's. Black Rock Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
