If you need a place to stay Best Western Rose Quartz is a perfect choice, and do take a hike on the Lassen Trail. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Cypress Lake in close proximity to Black Lake, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is a very wonderful place to explore. Having a wonderful time in the Southern Cascade Range is trouble-free. Why not       take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16, and camping at Black Lake is great fun, Rocky Knoll Campground is a great local campground. Black Lake gets very little rainfall; through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So much exciting stuff to do here at Black Lake, too nice to be true. Have a great hiking adventure along the Childs Meadows Trail.                  This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Black Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Black Lake descend into the 20's.
