This lake is so wonderful. Devils Postpile National Monument is a splendid local destination here at Black Lake, and the sight of Mount Alice is delightful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 offers hiking at its best, and a perfect place to camp here at Black Lake is Second Falls Campground. Throughout the summertime       here at Black Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Black Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Why not camp at First Falls Campground while you're here at Black Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a nice location to spend a night or two. There's good hiking along the                  John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section, and Sixth Lake is a perfect lake nearby. So much amusing stuff to do at Black Lake, so little time. Don't leave Black Lake without first going for a hike along the Kings River Trail. Lakes? Sure, Fifth Lake is nearby. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A brilliant place in the vicinity of Black Lake is Contact Pass, and a glorious close by hotel is Bishop-Days Inn. It is very dried up here at Black Lake typically; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is June. This location, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool stuff.
