At Bishop Lake all through the summer highs are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Bishop Lake sink into the 20's. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bishop Lake; Kings River Trail       is a nice local trail, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Not much rain falls here at Bishop Lake; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. And if that's not enough there's a lot more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. A nice spot to camp here at Bishop Lake is Aspen Meadow Campground, and Kings River - Middle Fork is a perfect whitewater                  spot close by. Bishop Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Willow Campground is a magnificent local campground, and while you're here, you could also check out stunning Ledge Lake. A visit to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile, and there's perfect hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. Yeah, come here to Bishop Lake for a tremendous time. Don’t forget to stop at Dusy Basin while you're here at Bishop Lake; Mount Agassiz is painless to spot from Bishop Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Agassiz Col is a brilliant place to spend some time at, and do explore Saddlerock Lake, it's a delightful lake. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.
