For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and night lows all through the winter for Birch Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you get bored of Birch Lake, you could also check out nearby Tinemaha Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike       along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. A spree to Devils Postpile National Monument is recommended; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Bishop is a nice site to spend a night or two. Birch Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. A lake nearby is Brainerd Lake; if you're here, you might as well go to Southfork Pass. This lake is so wonderful.
