There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth visiting. Nearby Southfork Pass is a perfect spot to go if you're at Birch Lake, and the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is a tremendous hiking trail close by. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Not far from Birch Lake,       you'll discover Tinemaha Lake which is a pretty lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a magnificent choice. Around Birch Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. Birch Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. All the outdoors cool stuff in the vicinity of Birch Lake will keep you coming back many times. Bishop-Days Inn is a glorious place                  to get some rest, and Birch Campground is a great campground here. Summertime highs at Birch Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Birch Lake plunge into the 20's. The view of charming Birch Mountain near Birch Lake is magnificent, and nearby you come across the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful.
