This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm sites, why not explore Sullivan Lake near Billy Lake, and camping at Grant Lake Marina-campground is always a pleasant experience. Agnew Pass is a magnificent site to go to nearby; there are other sites here than Billy Lake, for example Gem Lake. For the period of the summertime months here at Billy Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's, and the overnight       is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Billy Lake. Billy Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's brilliant hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail; Snowbird Condos at Mammoths Canyon Lodge is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go                  whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork; Mammoth Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. Billy Lake truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Go for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2, and why not take a little spree to Crest Creek if you're here. This site, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Billy Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Trailer Park Campground is a wonderful local campground; if you need a site to stay Heidelberg Inn is a great choice. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Good hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail; you can hit the slopes at June Mountain close at hand.
