Bill Lake is not the only site close by, Bobby Lake is a close by lake; the top of Kaiser Peak is easily observed from Bill Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Bill Lake is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. At Bill Lake       all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and night lows at Bill Lake all through the wintertime typically descend into the 20's. There's wonderful hiking along the Deep Creek Trail, and Deer Creek - Sierra National Forest is a magnificent campground here. Man, is there heaps of entertaining things to do in close proximity to                  Bill Lake. Good hiking is available along the Red Mountain Trail, and great skiing awaits you at Sierra Summit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on San Joaquin River, and if you came for an overnight stay Billy Creek Lower - Sierra National Forest is a good place to camp.
