This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bighorn Lake; Mammoth Rock Trail is a magnificent local trail; you can see Red Slate Mountain from Bighorn Lake. So many entertaining things to do here in the Central
Sierra Nevada, too pleasant to be true. There's whitewater on Mono Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; if you need a place to stay Mammoth Creek Inn is a glorious choice. Man, is there a lot of fun things to do in the Central
Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Mammoth Lakes Travelodge is a fine site to spend a night or two, and great hiking is available along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. It is very dried out here at Bighorn Lake typically; January
is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is June. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
