    Why not stop by Bighorn Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Camping at Bighorn Lake is fine fun, Sabrina Campground is a fine local campground; the peak of Mount Reinstein can be observed from Bighorn Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay North Lake Campground is a perfect location to camp, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Don Cecil  
   Trail.
Summertime at Bighorn Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, usually in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Bighorn Lake. If you go for the outdoors, you'll love Bighorn Lake. The John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is a wonderful hiking trail next to Bighorn Lake, and Kings River - Middle Fork has a good whitewater paddling
 
               spot nearby. Bighorn Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is July.
But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Visiting Devils Postpile National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Ambition Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If the weather is great here at Bighorn Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sheep Creek Trail, and Blackcap Basin is a wonderful place any time of year. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada.
