    It's always fun to stop by Bighorn Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by June Mountain. Having a great time in the Central Sierra Nevada is painless. Camping is available at Upper McGee Creek Campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork.
Through the
 
   warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 70's at Bighorn Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Bighorn Lake are in the 20's. A great nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada, and the views at Devils Postpile National Monument will blow your mind. At Bighorn Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently  
               January, that's the one that rains the most while June is typically the driest month.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Camping at Upper Vermillion Campground is always a nice experience, and at Bighorn Lake you can observe Mount Izaak Walton. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Going for a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and while you're here, you could also check out beautiful Blue Jay Lakes. Hit the slopes at Mammoth Mountain around here, and if you need a location to stay Mammoth Creek Inn is a wonderful choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is brilliant fun; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Mono Creek.
