Camping at McConnell State Recreation Area is always a fine experience, and Los Banos Days Inn is a nice spot to get some rest. Summertime at Big Water Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Big Water Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.       This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Merced here; there are other places here than Big Water Lake, for example Flat Pond. A nice place to camp here at Big Water Lake is San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, and dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Los Banos.
