All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Big Reservoir temperatures sink to the 30's. A lake nearby is Sugar Pine Reservoir; the summit of Hayden Hill can be distinguished from Big Reservoir. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. You       can run the rapids of American River - Middle Fork next to Big Reservoir; if you need a site to stay Deer Creek Inn is a wonderful choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Have a great hiking adventure along the Euchre Bar Trail, and why not camp at Forbes Campground while you're here at Big Reservoir. The high level of precipitation makes Big Reservoir a quite wet spot; during January this area sees the most rain, and July                  is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Monzarita Day Use Campground, and Elliot Meadow is a perfect place here at Big Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of American River - North Fork; during your spree here you'll meet some people from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure. Yeah, come here to Big Reservoir for a tremendous time. Big Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Drum Forebay is a nearby lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Green Valley Trail. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is unbeatable!
