Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations near Big Pine Lake that are brilliant to go to, and camping is available at Second Falls Campground. A tremendous place in close proximity to Big Pine Lake is Contact Pass, and get dripping wet       paddling on Kings River - Middle Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Big Pine Lake is ordinarily a reasonably dried up place; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at First Falls Campground if you're here at Big Pine Lake, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 is a nice hiking                  trail close by. You absolutely should go for the Central Sierra Nevada. Days Inn Bishop is a fine site to get some rest, and on a great day you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Bishop; of course, this is a fine area for folks who like lakes, Second Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. A trip to Sam Mack Meadow invigorates the soul. Lakes are fine; First Lake is a lake that's close to Big Pine Lake. Summertime highs at Big Pine Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's.
