Big Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. So much fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too delightful to be true. Lord Meadow is a glorious place to stretch your legs a bit. Best Value Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a great spot to get some rest; if you came to camp Hetch Hetchy Campground is a brilliant location to do that. What a location this is for outdoors people. Styx Pass is a glorious place to explore close

| | to Big Lake, and a quick journey to East Fork Cherry Creek is beyond doubt a delightful idea.
A large amount of precipitation falls at Big Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July is when it's the driest. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hetch Hetchy Backpackers Campground is a tremendous location for that; | |

in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Dodge Ridge, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not
take a look at Boundary Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Gillett Mountain can be seen from Big Lake, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Cherry Creek - West Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Central
Sierra Nevada. High temperatures at Big Lake through the summertime are in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Big Lake.
