This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. The sight of beautiful Gillett Mountain near Big Lake is good, and Styx Pass is a delightful site to spend some time. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Big Lake reach the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and night lows at Big Lake all through the wintertime generally fall into the 10's.
