The Southern Cascade Range is unbeatable! Bunchgrass Creek is a fine local stream; Huckleberry Lake is a glorious lake nearby. During the months of summer at Big Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; the night is quite colder of course, generally in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Big Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       All our national parks are delightful places to stop at, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is no exception, and Big Lake is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Mill Creek RV Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby. Big Lake is located in the Southern Cascade Range. Big Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest of the months is July. Big Lake is right by the Chaos Crags Trail,                  and a gorgeous lake like North Battle Creek Reservoir is a brilliant place to have a look at. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bunchgrass Trail. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Big Lake will keep you coming back many times. Take a hike on the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and Huckleberry Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from here.
