If you need a spot to stay Riviera Oaks Resort & Racquet Club is a splendid choice; the Middle Peak Loop Trail offers hiking at its best. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Why not camp at Lake Henshaw Campgrounds while you're here at Big Lake. Not far from Big Lake, you'll discover       Swan Lake which is a charming lake; if you came for an overnight stay Los Coyotes Reservation Campground is a splendid location to camp. The warmest time of the year at Big Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Big Lake temperatures sink to the 30's. A normal amount of precipitation falls here                  at Big Lake; March is when you get the most rain here, and June meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Lake; Aguanga Trail is a perfect local trail, and if you want a little side tour, try Ward Canyon.
