Battery Mendell Campground is a great campground nearby, and while here here do explore close by Rodeo Beach. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ben Johnson Trail, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Tennessee Valley Dam near Big Lagoon. From a rain       point of view Big Lagoon is a quite common location; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Big Lagoon. If you get bored of Big Lagoon, you could also stop by close by Mill Valley Reservoir, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Mill Valley Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Haypress Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and Kent Creek is near Big Lagoon and is always a diversion to stop by. The Bootjack Trail offers hiking at its best, and Kent Falls is always fun to check out. Do pay a visit to Muir Woods National Monument while you're here at Big Lagoon. Take a hike on the West Point Trail, and there are plenty of people from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont here. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Big Lagoon get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's while Big Lagoon night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 40's. This lake is so wonderful.
