Big Lagoon is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you came to camp Redwood Trails is a good spot to do that, and hiking along the Tsurai Trail is wonderful fun. High temperatures at Big Lagoon throughout the long summer days are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Big Lagoon throughout the winter frequently sink into the 30's. Big Lagoon

| | is a quite wet place usually with lots of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. Beaches are great; and Cannonball Beach in the neighborhood of Big Lagoon is no exception, and after a long day outdoors Emerald Forest Of Trinidad is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. is Agate Beach. If you come at the right time of year, Redwood Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and Big Lagoon Spit is another glorious place to go to close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Rim Trail, and
it's a tremendous idea to stop at Diamond Creek. Big Lagoon is located in the Coast Ranges. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Agate Beach Trail, and if you need
a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Arcata/Eureka-Arpt Area (Mckin is a brilliant choice.
And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Big Lagoon. There's so much to do here at Big Lagoon that you need
to camp here for a while, Agate Campground is a good location for that, and why not stop at a swamp like Big Lagoon Marsh since you're here at Big Lagoon.
