This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. After a long day outdoors Hotel Mt. Lassen is a glorious place to spend a night       or two; a great location to stop at is Jessen Valley. Lakes are such serene locations, why not go to Twin Lakes near Big Jack Lake, and if you came to camp Crater Lake Campground is a nice place to do that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Big Jack Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Big Jack Lake.
