Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Big Duck Lake. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. You can make out Eaton Peak from Big Duck Lake, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Sugar       Lake is just a very short distance away. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun, and great hiking is available along the Garden Gulch Trail. So much fun stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too delightful to be true. Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a fine site to get some rest.; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Big Duck Lake. This is a splendid region                  for folks who like lakes. Josephine Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and why not camp at Trail Creek Campground since you're here at Big Duck Lake. Go for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail; soar down the rapids of Coffee Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail is always a nice adventure, and Mountain Village RV Park is a great local campground.
