Why not take a refreshing hike along the Deacon Lee Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River - South Fork. The warmest time of the year at Big Blue Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Big Blue Lake is right by the Tanners Peak Trail. There's so much to do here at Big Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trail Creek Campground is a glorious place for that.
Take
a hike on the Garden Gulch Trail, and Salmon River is a good whitewater spot close by. The amount of rain that falls at Big Blue Lake is close to the national average; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
