Get dripping wet paddling on Salmon River - South Fork, and if you came to camp Idlewild Campground is a magnificent place to do that. Big Blue Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Salmon River, and great hiking is available along       the Tanners Peak Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Big Blue Lake is close to the national average; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is July. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Big Blue Lake. Do stop by Twin Lakes close to Big Blue Lake, it's a stunning lake; there's great hiking along the Garden Gulch Trail.
