    What a nice lake Big Bear Lake is. Camping is available at Siberia Creek Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Bear Lake; Seven Oaks Trail is a good local trail. That right there is a load of cool stuff already but it goes on, the San Bernardino Mountains has it all. Looking for something close to Big Bear Lake? Cedar Lake is close by, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Snow Valley. Be careful coming to the San Bernardino Mountains, you  
   might not ever wanna return home again. If you need a location to stay The Block is a wonderful choice, and don't forget to take a look at Boulder Bay while you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little spree to Big Bear Dam if you're here at Big Bear Lake, and magnificent hiking is available along the Green Valley Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful San Bernardino Mountains. The amount of rainfall that falls at Big Bear Lake is
 
               close to the national average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
From Big Bear Lake you get a great vista of Castle Rock, and a tremendous close by hotel is Lagonita Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Shadow Lake is right next door to Big Bear Lake, and the slopes of Snow Summit are so inviting nobody can resist. Throughout the long summer days at Big Bear Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Big Bear Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.
There's just no way someone can get bored here at Big Bear Lake. Go for a hike on the Siberia Creek Trail, and a wonderful location to camp here at Big Bear Lake is Grout Bay Campground. Be careful coming to Big Bear Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you're dropping by Big Bear Lake from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, you won't be the only one, and why not a little side tour to Kidd Creek.

In the 60s my wife's grandparents, the Stagners, ran the lake for Simmons. My wife would go there in the summer, while in high school, to help out. We were going to visit Big Bear, from Texas, in May. Is the lake still there and what is it called now?...I now own what was once called Simmons Trout Lake,  how can i contact one of the Simmons family?...
