     The beauty of Big Bear Lake attracts many people from all around. Big Bear Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. During the summer at Big Bear Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's, and the night is somewhat colder of course, frequently in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Big Bear Lake tend to be in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn, and Mammoth Mountain  
   is a great local ski area.
Big Bear Lake gets very little rain; January is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is tremendous fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Inlet Campground is a good place to camp. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go home again. Have a fine hiking adventure along
 
               the Mammoth Rock Trail, and camping is available at Mosquito Flat Campground.
That right there is heaps of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork. If time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth going to, and you could always explore Italy Pass. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. A picturesque lake like Bear Paw Lake right next door to Big Bear Lake is a great site to stop at; Feather Peak is clearly visible from Big Bear Lake.
