In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pit River. For the period of the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 80's at Bidwell Pond with night lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Bidwell Pond. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond       doubt plentiful here at Bidwell Pond. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Pit River, and nearby you come across the Chaos Crags Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. The annual rain here at Bidwell Pond is about average; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month of the year is July. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Southern Cascade Range. If                  you want to take a look at some interesting stuff, take a look at Murken Bench; there are other places here than Bidwell Pond, for example Murken Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Honn Campground is a splendid place to camp; some of the water nearby flows, like Lost Creek. Why not camp at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch while you're here at Bidwell Pond, and the Bunchgrass Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
