This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Southern Cascade Range is so good! Don't miss out on a tour to Lassen Volcanic National Park while you're here at Bidwell Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bunchgrass Trail, and you can run the rapids of Pit River. Why not camp at Honn Campground if you're here at Bidwell Pond; some       out of the ordinary geology is available here, Murken Bench is right here. Bidwell Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the snow is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Bidwell Pond. Take a hike on the Chaos Crags Trail, and camping is available at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff                  to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. Murken Lake is a great lake next to Bidwell Pond; some of the water close by flows, like Lost Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Wilson Reservoir near Bidwell Pond is a pleasant place to have a look at, and a brilliant site for whitewater paddling is Pit River. Throughout the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Bidwell Pond with overnight lows in the 40's.
