Hit the slopes at Royal Gorge close by. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Fordyce Creek, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure. And if that's not enough there's loads more cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Beyers Lakes       without first going for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail, and while you're here at Beyers Lakes it's a tremendous idea to pop by Five Lakes Basin. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Soda Springs, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Glacier Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of Black Buttes from Beyers Lakes is picturesque, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beyers                  Lakes; Crooked Lakes Trail is a brilliant local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. At Beyers Lakes during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Beyers Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Beyers Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Indian Springs Campground is a great local campground, and if you need a place to stay Deer Creek Inn is a wonderful choice. This place, Beyers Lakes, it absolutely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There's tremendous hiking along the Grouse Ridge Trail. Lakes? Sure, Baltimore Lake is close by. Beyers Lakes is a wet place that gets much precipitation; January is when you get the most rain here while July is usually the driest month.
