If you are in Mono county it's always a good idea to stop by Bergona Lake. Bergona Lake is pretty dehydrated frequently; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and October is when it's the driest. So many amusing things to do at Bergona Lake, so little time. You get a good view of Camiaca Peak from Bergona Lake, and going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 1 is always a pleasant adventure. Bergona Lake is one of the lakes

This lake is so wonderful. Bergona Lake is a great site to camp, Buckeye Campground is a great site, and if you want a little side visit, try Glines Canyon. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Sierra Nevada. A good nearby hotel is Ruby Inn; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Tenaya Creek.
Paho Campground is a nice campground here, and there's whitewater
on Tuolumne River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. At Bergona Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in
the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bergona Lake.
You'll come across a scenic lake called Lake Frances near Bergona Lake; on a fine day you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12.
