The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. You absolutely must fancy the Central Sierra Nevada. Really good skiing awaits you at Mammoth Mountain, and don't leave Bench Lakes without first paying a visit to Iva Bell Hot Springs. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cold Water Campground is always a good experience, and June Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling near Bench Lakes is Mono Creek,

| | and if you need a site to stay Snowcreek Resort is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2; a beautiful lake like Midge Lake is a good place to pop by. Bench Lakes is a location that is quite dried out ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is January, and June is when it's the driest. Campground, and from Bench Lakes you obtain a tremendous view of Devils Top. Devils Postpile National Monument is a very delightful location to stop by near Bench Lakes, and going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a glorious
adventure. Any time is a fine time at Bench Lakes if you adore the outdoors. Bigwood is a good place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bench Lakes. When
the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Bench Lakes. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling
on San Joaquin River - South Fork; Lost Keys Lakes is a fine lake nearby. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Bench Lakes.
