    Belden Forebay is a lake worth visiting. Belden Forebay is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you need a place to stay Best Western Rose Quartz is a tremendous choice, and drift down the rapids of Feather River - North Fork in a kayak. Bailey Creek Cottages is a great location to get some rest.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Belden Forebay. Do set aside some time for Oak Flat while you're here
 
   at Belden Forebay. There's so much to do here at Belden Forebay that you need to camp here for a while, Cool Springs Campground is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Crablouse Ravine is near Belden Forebay and is a nice place; if you have time, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a national park worth a visit. Throughout the summertime months at Belden Forebay temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.  
               Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Belden Forebay temperatures sink to the 10's.
So many cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just remarkable. If you came to camp Belden Town Resort and Lodge is a nice site to do that, and at Belden Forebay you can spot Cherry Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Lost Lake, and the Cleghorn Bar Trail offers hiking at its best. And that's not all the things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are tremendous; Butt Valley Reservoir is a lake that's next to Belden Forebay, and great hiking is available along the Yellow Creek Trail.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Belden Forebay; Claremont Trail is a pleasant local trail; while you're here, you could take a look at Cold Brook Creek. The yearly rainfall here at Belden Forebay is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest.

Cool Springs Campground is owned by PG&E and managed by American Land and Leisure (AL&L). You may contact AL&L, at 530-284-1785, from May to October. No reservations are taken for camping. Cool Springs is generally open from early May through mid-September. The heaviest use is between mid-June through mid-August. Butt Lake is a great fishing lake. Motorboats are allowed but no skiing or jet skis. There is a nice rock\sand beach for playing....
