Belden Town Resort and Lodge is a nice campground nearby, and a lake close by is Butt Valley Reservoir. The summit of Cherry Hill can be observed from Belden Forebay; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Feather River - North Fork. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada,

hiking trail in close proximity to Belden Forebay called the Cleghorn Bar Trail, and Bailey Creek Cottages is a brilliant site to get some rest.

Nevada has it all. A fine close by hotel is Best Western Rose Quartz, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Yellow Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Brook Creek flows through this region, and
going to Lassen Volcanic National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. During the days of summer at Belden Forebay highs are commonly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip
down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Belden Forebay dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
The Claremont Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Belden Forebay; Cool Springs Campground is a great local campground.
