Mono Creek is a great whitewater spot close to Beetlebug Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork, and hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is good fun. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. The peak of Graveyard Peak can be seen from Beetlebug Lake. Lakes are fine; Midge Lake is a lake that's near Beetlebug Lake.
